She likes Ven a lot -- both because he is sweet and nice himself, and because he is boyfriends with Josh who she also likes a lot. She also has gotten the idea that he's super reliable? That's why she sort of half-addressed her letter to Emil to Ven, too. If anybody will be able to take care of Emil it is Ven!! She knows it!! Also she finds this keyblade thing sort of fascinating and will probably want to ask after that later.
Paleon was definitely...awkward? But not unfriendly, and she enjoyed speaking to him. She was like ??? IS IT ME but powered through anyway on the assumption that if he really didn't like her he'd stop talking altogether. Probably she will keep coming to be like :D? at him.
Ven likes her too, because she is friendly and cheerful but also seems tough and determined and just. Definitely the sort of person he likes spending time with. He might seek her out to say hiiiii when he is not being a wreck (the last two traumagames have made him a wreck, so.) And he is always up for talking about his keyblade, and would be super-flattered that she trusts him with Emil like that. \o/
YEAH that was awkward, because Mark has no idea what to do with small genki people (they don't exist in his memories at all, it's like...ALIENS...b-but they're cute...wat do), and because he'd just gotten a memory which was like +239482739423 awkward around young women forever. >.> He didn't dislike her, though, just incredibly awkward and and gosh, kid, I'm awful, why are you even talking to me. :|a
...tell me about Sakura and Tempest? Is that actually a Thing for her? (...getting all the notifs on your threads during the bodyswap game was adorbs...)
I lovedddddddd the bodyswap and honestly Ven probably has like... +2 unconscious stat boost to his likeability score because of it? She knows it was Tempest in Ven's body but it was Ven's body she was talking to?
I don't think either Sakura or Tempest would consciously acknowledge it as an Actual Thing (maybe? idk for sure what Tempest thinks actually :x) but he is definitely one of her Most Important People. Partly for being her teammate and also because having shared trauma on her first day and him coming to lean on her then (and in every repeated instance of trauma) she has just kind of... superbonded to him. She can tell when he tries to protect her or cheer her up, and that's really touching, to her, and she wants to be able to do that for him in return.
I didn't have a chance to really read anyone else's stuff by Turquoise in the last few games, so I only have a vague idea (Peridot had somebody sacrifice a pound of flesh didn't they 8|) (also Lucifer killed himself and Micheal thought Emil did it? ;;) So... can you give me quick-and-dirty rundown of what has Ven so wrecked? ;A; Like, if it's more than just OH NO A LOT OF BLOOD AND VIOLENCE
...gad, no, blood and violence doesn't bother him so much. Until you get to a teammate committing suicide when he was helpless to stop them and then having to watch their corpse getting slowly eaten away by acid, that did bother him a bit, but. At least it wasn't a teammate he has any emotional attachment to.
OKAY SO first there was the Green Knight game. In which Peridot completely misinterpreted what the game was about and played for maximum sacrifice and pain because we are, well, Peridot. Ven gave up his sense of touch, which seriously messed with him, and when it got to the bonus pound of flesh round, he was like 'WELP I WON'T FEEL IT.' Whereupon there was a huge argument with Cassie, who is super self-destructive and has self-worth issues and thinks the only thing she can do for her team is feel pain for them. And then he made her cry by insisting on doing it anyway so she didn't have to feel pain (she has high pain tolerance, but she would still have felt that I think), and felt absolutely awful about that because he also has a huge puppy-crush on her but also keeps messing up and upsetting her. Also Zero was one of our knights and got super-mad at Ven. And then in endgame Gil yelled at Ven for not just doing the sensible thing and declining the challenge, and Ven spent half the day in existential and emotionally overwhelmed "am I a bad person" angst and couldn't face Peridot because he was too guilty for hurting them.
And then the Green Knight came to talk to him about the game and gave him the "sometimes sacrifice is not the only way" epiphany. And he had a rewarding talk with Lelouch about that, and made up with Cassie, and was actually being okay with his team for a bit and starting to recover.
And then the Odile game happened. Beatrice charged straight for the challenge of life door because she's Beatrice, and that was the poison one of yourselves or poison somebody else's column thing. Ven and Cassie and Emil all pretty much wanted to refuse that challenge and play extra-hard on the others (because murdering somebody is unacceptable and killing themselves is...well there has been a slight shift in attitude about that after the previous game.) Beatrice went "well they'd be sad if I killed somebody else so I can kill myself," and the rest of us went "ummmm." Gil wanted to kill somebody else and he and Ven got into a screaming fight about that and then he bitch-slapped Ven. Emil ended the argument by pouring out the poison and refusing the challenge. And then Lucifer said that if we weren't playing all the way, it wasn't worth playing, and slit his throat after more-or-less telling Emil that it was his fault.
And then Peridot went and played extra-hard on the others, which was pretty much okay except for Gil losing his heart. Which proved a problem in endgame when Mika jumped Emil because Emil was apologizing for Lucifer's death (and Mika refused to believe Ven's explanation that he'd independently killed himself due to being a jerkface), and Gil shot him, and then Acedia retaliated and Vincent dormoused Gil and hauled him off and Wrath screamed at everybody and when Ven tried to stop him from screaming at Emil (who he's ridic protective of and considered an innocent third party) he was all like fuck off and die you scum and never come near my team again (which...Ven is not used to dealing with that sort of verbal abuse and it seriously messed with him, and he does have friends on Ruby and is kind of scared that Wrath will never let him see them again), and then Ven offered to heal Mika as an apology which Wrath bitched at him more for while simultaneously making him do it, and then Ven hit MP coma for the rest of the day. Which...honestly...was probably better than being conscious.
So basically the whole thing drove Ven to anger/frustration/shame/guilt/insecurity OVERLOAD, and he's despairing of his team ever being sane or safe for him, and pretty much thinks he has three teammates who don't give a damn about hurting him emotionally (Lucifer, Gil, and Beatrice to a certain extent), and he might also be an awful person and a self-righteous hypocrite, and just kind of lost in terribleness and on the verge of breakdown. Josh is the reason he's functional. >.>
Uhhhh...reverse, I guess! How did Turquoise handle those games, and did they affect Sakura at all?
Like I said to Josh below, Turq kind of did kind of didn't do well in the Trauma games. Generally they're really good at not taking unnecessary/excessive damage if there's no reason to, but they did accidentally sacrifice their team unity -- when they got to the "leave a teammate behind" challenge, Breeze and Rolo both immediately looked at the Knights, and apparently that really upset Echo. Rolo ended up very angry at her, because she wasn't willing to prioritize Turquoise like he was, and Echo was saying things like Turquoise wasn't anything special at all, which neither Breeze nor Sakura were happy about either. So while they won the game and didn't take damage, it wasn't a very positive outcome, from Sakura's POV.
Odile's game was sort of a reversal from that -- they took damage (or, Tsuyu took damage by sawing off his hand augh augh) but their team unity was great, and healed some of the damage done in the Green Knight game. Post game Sakura was miserable with worry and injury though, so she didn't feel all that positive about anything. Once Tsuyu gets his hand back she'll probably perk up a little :x
What did Ven and Roxas end up making together to show their bond, in the bodyswap game?
Wayfinders (see icon) but with emblems of their two keyblades crossed in the center. The wayfinder's the symbol/charm of friendship that Ven knows (kind of the equivalent of a friendship bracelet or something), and they put the keyblades on there to make it theirs, not just a generic friendship symbol.
I am derping on questions so I'm going generic...five favorite people in Aather?
Uhhhh Tsuyukusa, Sion, Emil, Fawn and... and then she has to flip a coin to choose between some of the onyx knights and the rest of her team for her last slot ;A; TOO HARD SHE HAS SO MANY IMPORTANT PEOPLE
Mmm... she has ones she.. likes more than others? She pet Cheshire and he was cute, and firebird/brother deer/unicorn haven't been bad, just a little strange... but all and all she's a little sour on all the personae, mostly because she lets Sasuke's opinion on that influence her too much and also because it annoys her to think about 'we're helping you save the world why are some of you trying to kill us.
If Ven/Mark could bring one thing from home, what would it be?
If we're talking about objects and not people...honestly, right now, nothing major comes to mind for both of them. Ven already quested for his wayfinder, and has no other particular object attachments. Mark doesn't remember his butter bugs yet, but if he did, he'd bring them and breed them to distribute to Aather: they're a fantastic food source. '-'
If we're talking people...Mark has an easy answer: Kareen, his girlfriend. He remembers enough to her to know how important she is, at any rate, though at this point in his development, he doesn't know they're actually a full-blown couple and has other complicated psychosexual reasons for avoiding her. >.>
Ven gets more complicated, because he has TWO people who are the most important to him and he COULDN'T DECIDE. And his sensei would actually be a third possibility once he finds out he's dead. That's probably actually who Ven would pick if he had full memories. If he somehow finds out the shitty fates that befell his other friends, he would probably pick Terra, because his was shittier and had less chance of him escaping on his own. 8(
Reverse! I keep doing that instead of asking new questions because I'm a bit derp right now. '-'
Things... Sakura doesn't actually really have any things that would be of personal import. As for people, maybe Tsunade, her teacher, and -- once she remembers her -- her best friend/rival Ino. She's actually managed to duplicate a lot of her relationship types here in Aather -- not that replaces the people, but it at least leave me feeling like there aren't any holes.
Because my girlfriend was apping Roxas and I was like...AMNESIA TWINS. \o/ And I thought I kind of might enjoy playing a dumb loveball. This was actually my first RP of this format everrrrrrrr, but I do a lot of LARPing and some tabletop, so. And I'd never really played anyone like Ven before.
But really, that was entirely why. I wasn't thinking about what I was looking for in a character or pings or whatever, I was just like, go amnesia twins. And hey, it worked, I could play him forever.
