Relationship update?

Okay not that Sakura is actually aware of any of Itachi's actual problems. Just that sometimes when they talk she is like "...yup I sure am saying 95% of the words! But I will keep talking to you." And while she also has no idea just how, um, close they are, even Sakura can tell how dependent on each other Sasuke and Itachi are-- which mostly she finds kind of adorable and therefore utterly unsurprising anytime it turns out that Sasuke did #whatever to assist Emerald/Itachi.

But she has progressed beyond assuming that he (and Sasuke) are merely tolerating her, mostly because he did offer to help her and he wouldn't do that if he disliked her company. Also she appreciates it a lot, because somehow having the help of another ninja adds...ninja validity to her efforts >->a

So... He's now like... eccentric but nice guy who she finds interesting. He is a mystery wrapped in an enigma and one day she will get him to say actual things to her.

Anyway. Itachi is getting better at dealing with her. Her 16-year-old girlness is no longer baffling to him, for the most part, and he's pretty comfortable talking to her, even if he still kind of sucks at small talk. He likes her pretty well and appreciates that she cares about Sasuke, and also that she's smart and determined. He really wasn't surprised that she picked up the concepts from her ninja text quickly, considering the tree climbing memory Sasuke shared with him.

How is Sakura doing with her post-hiatus stress now?

...I'm not sure that isn't accurate, to some degree or another, except for the part where Knife isn't included.

Nnng. She's. Nng. She fussed at a bunch of people but really the only one who made her feel better was Knife, so. Basically she's just going to cope. Also now Tree has a scary memory and he's freaking out, but at least she can direct her energy there into Trying to Solve Problems, and that'll distract her nicely.

Itachi's thoughts on all the kissing?

It's really more of an extension of their emotions than anything. That is to say, the attraction is more emotional than physical. Uchihas are full of feelings but are kind of too fucked up to find a healthy outlet for them, even when they're honestly trying to have a functional relationship. And it is functional. It's just also unhealthy. But basically he finds it comforting and pleasant because he likes feeling close to Sasuke.

He's aware that it's not normal, but idk, I have hard time imagining advanced bloodlines NOT keeping it in the family a lot of the time, so it doesn't bother him as much as it could otherwise, particularly from a moral standpoint. Though he does worry about being good for Sasuke because he tends to doubt that he is.

Are there any memories that you're particularly looking forward to Sakura getting back now that she's been in Aather a bit longer?

Mm, I'd like her to get some of her healer memories (and...skills) because right now she has absolutely no idea. Also there's a bunch of little scenes here that would reinforce ideas she already kind of believes-- having them explicitly given to her as memories would add a lot of conviction to them.

Has Itachi gotten any memories that have made him miss particular creature comforts? (for instance, Sakura begins to think she should quest for a pair of boots and gloves.)

He misses dango and tea, if those count. :T He has considered questing for a pair of ninja combat sandals or whatever those shoes are that ninjas always wear, but he hasn't done it yet.

What did Sakura think of Naruto leaving?

She was bummed! Like... they weren't close in Aather yet but he was in her only memory at the time and they were clearly all buddy buddy. Mostly she's regretful-- she knows he's important but she never got to find out why, or learn anything about him (which she'd much rather do in person than via memory)

She also kind of :\ that he didn't even tell her himself. She had to find out from Sasuke, jeez. Jeez!

Anyone from home Itachi would particularly like to see?
