Question Meme

It is the slowest of slow Fridays and I want to babble. I don't have any really appropriate landmarks, so I'm going to pretend that 14k and 666 are totally round and legit landmarks.

Also I know I have been teeeerrible at answering question meme things in other people's over the last month BUT THIS ONE IN ON MY JOURNAL I CAN'T FORGET IT'S HERE ;o;

I actually need to think a bit more about his skill registry, since he doesn't have all that many right now, so I need to think these over a bit! I put general knowledge of martial arts in priority so that's likely the next he'll learn, but other skills that are coming are handling various types of grenades, making small signals and super basic first aid skills. ALSO XINGESE! Handling grenades is the one I'm most excited about to be honest, because while it's things Ling won't use unless he has no other way/better plan, I think it'll be cool to play how he can combine Martial Arts/Sword fighting with explosives. So yes!! That would be it!!

Aside from people that are in Aather, who does Sakura miss the most (that she remembers)?

okay saddest sad thing but with Turq's current win rate she doesn't have enough repeating memories of people to really miss anyone '-' m...maybe Tsunade? She's come up in several, she probably misses her.

But like... combining the not insignificant aather cast with her lack of memories is like...yes it's very sad.

So I hear we are getting a Greed. Do you have any expectations/things you are really looking forward to getting to play about that particular cast mate? |D

And re: Greed-- just having him around is something I'm super looking forward to! I don't have many expectations because I tend not to plan things ahead much, especially since a lot of things are going to depend on if Ling gets memories of handing his body over/memories of Greed in general before he gets placed or not. But just play out them getting to know each other again and everything is something I'm super excited! Like, I'm certain they will end up being bros in Aather and without their memories too, but it's playing the getting there that I'm really looking forward to. Especially because again, depending on the order of memories both of them get, things could start pretty rocky! But yeah, Ling and Greed being Ling and Greed I am certain that no matter how things start they'll still hit off pretty great because they didn't connect with a shared past or something like that, it's pretty much because of their personalities that they bonded so strongly, so yeah. It's all things that stay even without memories! Like, I'm not sure if I can explain it well, but if it was Ed coming, taking aside Ling already remembers a little of him, I wouldn't be as sure of them eventually becoming friends again without memories involved. Because in the case of Ling and Ed, it is shared experiences that brought them together.

BUT YEAH IN SHORT, I'm just looking forward playing off of Greed in Aather's context. I'm also looking forward the confusion of having someone who looks exactly like Ling around-- though I know Aather already has/had other people looking identical (Ven and Roxas, Luke and Asch). BUT IT'S JUST FUN TO ME especially since while Greed and Ling share a loooot of similarities deep down, on the surface they are completely different. AND GREED KEEPS HIS EYES OPEN!! Also I really really am looking forward seeing what team he'll end up into. IT'S GOING TO BE FUN.

Is there another character you'd like to app at some point?

Well I have this guy in the Knight queue! Which puts me at three. This is David Nassau, from a squeenix game that did not get a lot of love. He is a fancypants marquis who also likes to UNDERMINE SYSTEMS!!! and stuff. I played him forever in Camp and then dropped Camp in Feb and lasted this long without playing him :B like a winner.

I have had other app desires that I may or may not go through with at some point, but they all have various level of complications that I'd have to think through more. Also the three characters I've chosen pretty much guarantee that (barring booking or otherwise dropping out) I will be playing them forever. They have... so many memories x-x

I have plans to app Marta Lualdi from ToS2! But I need to finish canon reviewing, plus I want to wait a bit to get more familiar with Aather, since I really, really want to app her a knight. AND I JUST JOINED I'D FEEL SHAMELESS PUTTING AN APP IN QUEUE AGAIN SO SOON (even if the temptation is strong).

There are other characters that I think would be fun to play but that I know I won't app because I absolutely don't want to go above two, and I'm very set on apping Marta and can't see myself dropping Ling anytime soon. So just her for now!

And while we're talking about UPCOMING NEW CHARACTERS!! What are you looking forward playing the most with David in Aather?

Well! I apped him not only because I miss his stupid face, but because he's... friendly but in a chill way. Like, Sakura is friendly! But she's friendly in an aggressive shounen do do do do go go go more more more way. Feelings everywhere. Lightning I apped to give balance to that-- grumpy and quiet. David is friendly but in a much more relaxed way, so I am looking forward to that (one of his skills is Diplomacy). I am also looking forward to trying to think up quests and playing in games from a Knight perspective, just for the difference!

If you could put Ling on another team, which would you pick?

SHE IS I've been wanting to play her for a long time!! So yes I am excited to eventually app her.

Also if I could pick another team, I'd go for Tiger's Eye for no other reason than it's yellow (Heliodor is too light) and then it wouldn't bug me that my icons are not team colored. I actually don't know all teams well enough yet to think of where he would fit, but Carnelian is pretty much perfect for Ling. If I had to pick another team it would have to be one that could put up with the fact Ling can be pretty ruthless if he considers it necessary to reach his goals.

What about Sakura? If she hadn't ended up in Turq what other team do you think she'd fit? :O

Hmm... well, it would have changed her personality some (in the way Turq has shifted her a little more easy going), but I think she could have done okay on Ruby. She has appropriate levels of protective, kind of violent team dere, and Ruby can be appropriately shounen when they need to be.

What team do you think he would be hilariously unsuited for?
