I mean, given that she doesn't remember much more about him than any other member of team seven (that is to say, not a lot), it's still...comforting, in a way? To have somebody familiar. And also, since Naruto left, she had sort of...idk. It's nice to have a teammate who acts happy to see her when they interact? It makes her really happy. Him offering to get her a key was like ;A; you want me to come visit you ;A;

It's kind of a struggle for her though, finding a balance in how to treat him-- she can be very casual with her good friends, and she treats a lot of the knights with a pretty casual friendliness-- but he is still her teacher. But he's her teacher who doesn't remember anything! So she doesn't want to like, put a lot of I'm-expecting-you-to-be-responsible pressure on him. But she IS expecting that, because he's still a Knight, and and and...

Sakura has pretty much settled in on Rolo-- she still doesn't quite understand him, I expect, but she at least understands that he is approaching most human interaction from a completely different angle, with a different set of rules-- unlike, say...Sasuke, who knows [x relationship] is important but rejects and walks away from it for [reasons], Rolo would likely just not see [x relationship] as important in the first place, maybe! So she's like... okay I have to remember it's not that he thinks x is dumb, per se, he just doesn't think about it the way I do so doesn't she why it's important okay okay.

Like back baaack back in the game where they abandoned Echo she was really upset at him for being like well fine AWAY WITH HER then. Because she was like...Echo is mad at us that's not a good reason to just kick her off! But like...understanding him better she can appreciate the point that like-- okay, if somebody doesn't think Turq is important, why should they be important to Turq, why would we set ourselves up that way.

So she's generally more patient and tries to at least explain her point of view, and more likely to not like... try and beat him over the head with hers '-'

And because he is protective of Turq and she is protective of Turq she is pretty much a big ball of squishy dere over him. He is her teammate he's her very nice teammate errybody better recognize '-'!!!

Lightning is... well okay she has a base :T for all of Emerald to begin with, largely because A)she is resisting this whole team-and-heroes thing as hard as she mentally can. What is this, what, no. DNW. B)Emerald was like...way too zen and welcoming. She got a lot of "Hi, those colors mean you are now part of our ~family~ and ~we love you~ and will ~care for you~ and expect the same in return because we might have mentioned you are Emerald now". ...okay it wasn't quite like that but that was her overall impression. Which is both like...kind of creepy and also, in Lightning's mind, extremely ill thought out. They don't know anything about her! What if she's violent or dangerous! You can't just accept somebody into your life and your safe space like that, jeez. Jeez.

But that aside, she likes him okay. He is generally one of the more reasonable ones, and he's quiet, and he provides information when she thinks to ask for it and often even when she doesn't. Also, he has a younger sibling and so she like... idk. Older sibling solidarity you will understand '-' If she were going to let herself have any visible feels (which she has, a little) she would probably be most willing to have them around Stealth at the moment.

Sakura remains pretty solid on Itachi. I mean obviously he is where she goes when she needs to have Sasuke feels, because he will understand and he's pretty comforting about it. I mean, he kind of understands Sasuke best, so. He also keeps her from wallowing in miserable hyperbolic woe. Sometimes she thinks he does maybe not fully understand the extent of her sads, because hey lets be honest whenever Sasuke chooses to just like up and abandon someone it is not ever Itachi that he chooses 8| but, well. She knows their relationship is complicated so w/e w/e she is pretty sure he understands why It's Complicated better than most other people. Sakura doesn't even know why it's so complicated honestly so. SHE WILL LEARN. EVENTUALLY.

Sasuke feels aside though she still just likes hanging out with him. He is relaxing and smart. :B She still wants to train more with him because that was awesome~~~

Sakura likes Ling a lot! Gosh, he is a lot of fun. He's playful and teasing and just kind of rolls with things-- but is also capable of switching gears pretty seamlessly and Taking Things Seriously when they need to be. She really appreciated his willingness to just go along with her/play back in the RP game because she usually has a hard time finding people who are into holding the role as seriously as she is. It was refreshing and made it easier!

His flattery kind of weirds her out a little because like okay, being complimented is nice! And it's not creepy flattery or anything, it's just super constant. But he backed off on that when she was like :\ so she appreciates that, too. He is an observant clever boy. And she likes sparring with him because he IS a really fast learner, and he's really eager, and it's just... talking to Ling is often just easy and enjoyable for her. :B

What sorts of skills will Ling be re-learning? Are there any in particular you are very excited about?

Her knee-jerk reaction to that question would be like TURQUOISE IS THE BEST TEAM THE VERY BEST THE VERY BEST EVER AHH I LOVE THEM AAAH.

non-knee-jerk is... honestly very similar. I mean, slightly more rational in the way that she realizes they all have faults and that some of them are kind of extremely dysfunctional people, or are hovering very close to the line. But she also thinks they compliment each other well, as a team, and she feels relaxed and safe and very homey with them. And for as chill as they are, she also solidly believes that if they were in trouble they would pull it together damn quick-- I mean, they kind of did with Vincent Cabin Invasion-- all he did was touch Breeze and he was assaulted like 14 different ways. They kind of fall apart if they have to plan shit or whatever, but if you need a solid offensive strike, she knows they will be solid for that. Reliable team who is snuggly in their own socially dysfunctional way.

That said, she is frequently very XT!!!! Over their play in games. Which she represses and ignores until she accidentally word vomits it all over strangers and brand-new teams twice in one day >->;;; Like...Sakura hates losing. She hates hates hates hates it. She can grudgingly accept "we tried our best but we lost", but has real trouble with "we didn't really try that hard and then we lost". A lot of her own issues are tied up in I have to try harder; as she gets more memories, that will only get worse. She's very shounen, obviously. But in Sakura-world there are few problems that can't be solved by trying harder, and if you failed it's because you didn't try hard enough, so... Turq's approach to games is hard on her.

But she also realizes she is 1/7 members of Turq, and also when it's laid out she understands 'let's not make ourselves miserable in a game if we don't have to, just for the sake of winning; happiness/safety first'. She gets that! It just...is hard. Versus her nature and her issues. But overall she loves Turq to bits '^'

So how does Katou feel about his new claw-hand?

Tell me about something interesting in Lightning and Sakura's development lately, preferably something you didn't expect!

The new claw-hand does not actually come with positive mental associations. He doesn't remember the actual decision to get it, but he remembers his mindframe afterwards— which is essentially that he was VERY VERY ANGRY and was throwing away his humanity and fighting and revenge and he wasn't exactly entirely sane at the time. . . In general, he was Not In A Good Mental Place… it was a very different sort of head space than the one he's currently residing in. So it's a bit of an uncomfortable reminder of a lot of things he's trying not to think about in regards to the last parts of his life before Aather (the parts he's aware of, at least).

That being said, Torrent and Echo's responses to it being overwhelmingly positive and impressed has actually moved him a little bit away from having completely negative views on it. His initial reaction to it was the idea of hiding it and ignoring it completely, but the two of them have brought him a little closer to the idea of being comfortable with actually using it as something OTHER than a reminder of everything going horribly wrong. It's not likely to be his weapon of choice basically ever, but he's a lot more of accepting of it in this more comfortable setting.

I'm actually curious on Tsunami's thoughts on the Echo/Zwei situation.

For Lightning, ppppprobably Sasuke? But that's only half unexpected. I was pretty sure they would either get along quietly but decently or not at all. Granted, they've only had one 'conversation' so far that was mostly just being cranky in each other's vicinity, but given that both Sasuke and Lightning are prone to just ignoring or walking away from people they don't have the patience for, I count it as a positive interaction :B otherwise I need to do more with her. Rationally I know 666 comments in three weeks is not actually terrible but it feels so incredibly slow to me, that I'm like fff fff she's not getting out she's not interacting with people fff. But I know that is mostly just me needing to ramp up into a) remembering how to play more than one person B)Getting used to Lightning/her personality type. I WILL HAVE MORE EXCITING THINGS TO SAY NEXT TIME >A<

Hmmm, for Sakura, probably the most interesting development lately is how she's kind of switched over from trying to get everyone possible to teach her things to teaching things to other people. Especially given that she still feels really behind herself, so it's not like her drive to Learn All The Things has lessened, any...she just feels more confident spreading that around a little.

Mostly it's like... she doesn't like Zwei, and unlike Breeze has absolutely no moral qualms about getting rid of her; she's an active danger to both Echo and Turquoise (and other people!!!), has shown no remorse about her actions, so at this point Sakura is like well okay you have given me no reason to believe that you deserve to just wander around wherever and whenever you want. She's willing to start with something less extreme, like confinement or some kind of incapacitating or monitoring or whatever but the first time that fails then she has no problem ratcheting up to "kill", so long as that doesn't harm Echo. Harming Echo is the dealbreaker; but as it stands, Echo has made it pretty clear that she is currently hurting or unhappy, so by that alone Sakura is pretty ready to move on whatever plan they can come up with.

Likewise?

He had a brief moment of sympathy for Zwei with how she was killed, but has equally few moral qualms about getting rid of her. He wasn't around to find out that Echo got gutted while Zwei was in control, but he basically has no reason to trust her and knows she's been a danger. He'd be fine with killing Zwei, but has put that out of his mind because he's not really sure at this point if it's possible without killing Echo, and that he's definitely not willing to do. He's hoping they can work out something with either Three or another personae to incapacitate her on a permanent level. However, he doesn't feel quite as close to the situation as some of the others, because his relationship with Echo isn't as strong as other people's. In the end he's more than willing to just defer to what Breeze wants to do with the situation, and isn't likely to voice his own thoughts on the matter unless directly asked.

Will Tsunami ever bring up to Clue that she's dating Neji. . .?

Sakura thinks he is friendly in a low-key way, and interesting, and enjoys talking to him. Sometimes she is just like ?? because Iolite. Iolite is clearly a very odd team, and they're all odd. Yes even Neji.

Lightning found him pleasantly tolerable. He wasn't difficult to speak to and wasn't aggressive with either his opinions or his emotions and she appreciates that. She did not entirely hate the hairstyle he gave her. Would not mind continuing to speak with him in the future |D

Probably not like HEY CLUE GUESS WHAT out of the blue or anything, but she wouldn't hide it or anything and would bring it up if it were relevant? Like if they were talking about Neji or her new necklace or...idk related topics. Vincent already knows and that was the only person she was :T about finding out, so.

How is Clue and Romance? or...Clue and whatever he has? Acedia is gone now so you can't have get-high-together funtimes anymore that must be sad 8|a

They are fluffycute '^' Sakura doesn't actually mind that Neji is not into PDA much and wants privacy; it would be kind of weird for her to be super snuggly in public too? And in general it slots in with the rest of his personality that she has gotten used to, so. It really only gets frustrating when you realize how little privacy there is for non-knights, sob.

Dating also means that more than ever she just... kind of knows that Neji has her back? Not that she didn't before, but. It just makes her feel very secure.

Itachi honestly enjoys Lightning quite a bit. He doesn't mind her attitude at all and is more than willing to just kind of treat her like anyone else and not really focus on the teammate thing, because he can honestly understand needing space to deal adjust. He's actually a bit :|a at some of the other members seeming to be kind of pushy about it. They weren't pushy with him when he arrived. But then again he was the first replacement member to come in and he arrived when the team was kind of exploding so he just. Kind of found things to do to make himself useful and made a place for himself while everyone else was stressing about things he couldn't fully understand because he came in in the middle of them, anyway. They've had a few new people come in since then, and they've all been younger and/or needier than he was and also Lightning came in after Knife left which probably means some of them are overcompensating a bit for the loss of the leader.

I think I've said it before but Itachi isn't inclined to view Lightning as a replacement. He feels like that concept is insulting to both the new person to arrive and to the person who has left (or been booked/taken). Knife is still a member of Emerald, she's just somewhere else right now. She is not replaceable. Lightning is a new member of the team, that's all, and that's cool. She won't take Knife's place but she will make her own place there when she's ready to. Until then he is willing to just get to know her as an individual, and he likes what he's seen of her so far. She seems intelligent and competent even if she is kind of cranky, but he doesn't mind crankiness and it's not like he can blame her. The first few days of being in Aather are stressful and kind of overwhelming, and hers were made worse by dying horribly.

It has been awhile since Itachi has taken such a fast liking to someone. Part of it could be that she's a new Emerald so he's just more inclined to let himself pay more attention, but he also just kind of enjoys talking to her and finds hear easy to relate to. Possibly because her attitude really is Sasuke-ish at times and also older sibling solidarity. Fortunately it is not a big deal to him if she likes him back as much, his memories have made pretty comfortable with the concept of liking/respecting/caring about people who don't like him, so he's not inclined to push her.

As for Sakura! The whole thing with Sasuke giving up his memories made Itachi realize he didn't just check on Sakura because she and Sasuke have a history and Sasuke cares about her even if he tries to pretend like he doesn't sometimes. Itachi has actually developed a fondness for her outside of Sasuke. He likes her and respects that she's a healer and can apparently punch holes in things and that's why he will sometimes make a point of checking on her and asking after her team like he did in their most recent thread, and even pushing a little for an answer.

He does understand that Sasuke makes her sad and doesn't mind when she stresses about Sasuke in his direction, and has even gotten used to Sakura hugging and/or crying on him when she's feeling that way. She's right in that he may not fully understand her feels because he's never the one Sasuke is willing to leave behind, but he does have sympathy for her, and appreciates that in spite of that she doesn't give up on Sasuke.

Sasuke did show him the team 7 reunion memory and knows that she at one point intended to kill him, but he's really much more concerned about Sasuke's reaction to the memory than what Sakura did in it. So it doesn't really change his opinion of her in Aather. In a way, if he thinks about it, he can even understand the pain she must have felt in being driven to that point, so he figures that's going to be a shit memory for her to get back whenever she gets it back. And he hopes that things can just work out differently in Aather for everybody's sake.

How does Sakura feel about the Jabberwock's game and its aftermath?

Neji is definitely feeling the lack of privacy in a way he wasn't before, and isn't entirely sure what to do about it. Especially because I don't think he's inclined to ask anyone else for advice about it. But he's enjoying things, so far. FEELINGS. But they're good feelings. And he'd like to explore them more...

What does Sakura think of Iolite now?

Well, she likes Neji, and she likes Obsidian and Spitfire and Jaina. She didn't much care for Hibari, but she only talked to him briefly once and probably doesn't remember it well; I'm not sure she's ever met Kyouko but Katou said she endorsed violence against Vincent so she's probably cool; and Vincent can fall down a flight of stairs as far as she's concerned.

So... net, she likes Iolite! She knows they are kind of an a-typical team but they are not bad people. She gets upset at the idea of people targeting them '^'

So tell me what kinds of things you are MOST EXCITED FOR for Kitsune?

Honestly she barely had time to have any feels about the game itself-- Between Sasuke being incredibly more angry and determined and generally obviously not okay and Echo with her gaping stomach wound, Sakura was kind of already frazzled and stressed and had other things to think about!

In the wake of it she felt more guilty than anything-- mostly it's a confused and grateful guilt; but Turq was just so sure they would get hit hard, and then it turns out that no, instead we got cookies. So she feels guilty, not so much that she wasn't hurt when her friends were (though there's a little bit of that since she took ZERO damage and they actively rejected putting some of their own stones on Turq) but more that she (and everyone) apparently overlooked how much other people care about them... so she's like '-' oh. I. Oh. Ilu2guiz. I'm sorry I apparently...underestimated you...

She is pretty sure the Jabberwock is a dick though.

So how much is Itachi looking forward to this chat with Emerald that needs to happen re: death games?

I am just all around excited. I think, hopefully, she'll be a good fit for me for this type of things. I have a number of game ideas for her, so that's exciting. I think she'll be interested in the heroes and not too hard to play off them. I'm hoping I can do a pretty good job balancing her being cute and social with... being pretty much a sociopath, or at least ruled by self interest.

Seriously, I am just all sorts of excite. It's been cheering me up a lot the last two days. I got her icons uploaded and everything. '^'

Also, now I can be my own hiatus excuse o/
