It is the slowest of slow Fridays and I want to babble. I don't have any really appropriate landmarks, so I'm going to pretend that 14k and 666 are totally round and legit landmarks.

Also I know I have been teeeerrible at answering question meme things in other people's over the last month BUT THIS ONE IN ON MY JOURNAL I CAN'T FORGET IT'S HERE ;o;

okay gosh let's see it's been like a month and a half since I did one of these which is like seven months in dog Sasuke and Sakura months ssssso....

WELL SHE WAS VERY HAPPY that they were learning a thing together. That was pretty much... the most awesome thing that was ever awesome. Also she was just... really proud of Sasuke. I mean of course Sasuke is good at everything, but medicnin stuff is hard! It also made her feel good because she felt...useful? And competent. Even without her own skill, she could instruct.

Right now she's just kind of like though she is taking this less hard than other times he has been upset? She's certainly taking it less hard than the Sasuke-loses-his-memories thing. She kind of accepts that it's probably not about her specifically as it is about Sasuke and his Sasuke feels. She is still determined to be his friend, possibly in a more active and targeted way than before; she's been kind of passive about it in the past, on occasion, because Sasuke has allowed her to basically do as she will regarding him. But if he's going to be really determined about her staying away, then she will likewise have to be determined 8|

Lightning found Sasuke to be the least-annoying of the Knights so far. I mean, she appreciates the ones who give her info and such, but she is really sore over them being Knights (which is a word that means something!!!) but not being security/law enforcement/...knights. That bugs her way more than I thought it would. But Sasuke was not currently engaged in being silly or strange or bizarre or overly-casual or any of the other zillion things that have annoyed Lightning over the past few days, so that's a bonus. He was also suitably cranky about their situation for her tastes. Finally, somebody else who is willing to agree that this is incredibly stupid, wonderful. And he gave her a sword, and a knife, for free, when she had had the quest system kind of harped over. That confuses her a lot! I mean, she's thankful in a way she wouldn't ever mention unless their relationship were very different one day far in the future but it's still confusing and awkward and weird. But fine whatever.

Also he's Stealth's little brother. She is already primed to give bonus points for younger siblings. >->;;;

Saying she likes him is probably a bit much, but him being nearby would not make her cranky. That's kind of the best she can do at the moment.

I'm way too exhausted so this is a condensed version of what I would've wanted to write.

Sasuke can't allow himself to get closer to Kakashi and Sakura now. That's the main thing. He hates himself for everything he's done but at the same time he doesn't regret anything of it. So he's accepted that he went insane and what he did, but he also understands that he had no other choice! He is also in constant conflict with allowing himself to still care about people instead of shutting them out in order to become stronger, because he remembers years of doing that during his training with Orochimaru so it's like trying to get out of a terrible habit. IT'S EASIER TO SHUT EVERYTHING OUT, and only focus on what he wants. That's also a big part of it.

But his self-hatred is so deep right now that he honestly doesn't give a shit about giving an option to Sakura and he will be very insistent on cutting her off from his life. Same with Kakashi, which is why hew gave him his memory. HE WANTS KAKASHI TO GIVE UP ON HIM. He knows it's more likely that he will, considering he barely remembers anything right now. Sakura is harder. But he cares. More than he's willing to admit.

LIGHTING WAS . . . INTERESTING? I reverse nearly everything you said, actually. He can tolerate her and she seems to be focused on the things that are important, which is important if you want Sasuke to even consider you exist. She is also Emerald, even if he dislikes the team most of the time, but that gives him more tolerance to deal with people since he always need to know what kind of people they are. He lacked a deep reason to give him the sword, just that she needed it and he didn't.

Lighting's impressions on Emerald or the Personae?

Her impression of Emerald is that they were all too eager to welcome her into their arms. Which was dumb and shortsighted just on principle. She also gets kind of :\ when it feels like they are forcing values on her (Asuka is the main offender here). But most of the time she can tolerate them. She liked the idea behind telling the Jabberwock to fuck off, no, they weren't going to play his game... but then immediately became frustrated again when the walls started closing in and everyone else just sat there, waiting to die. SHE REALIZES SHE COULDN'T HAVE STOPPED IT but she still wanted to fight anyway. So right now she's in want-to-yell-and-pace-and-demand stage, though she also is trying to not be super invested in the team. Fine, whatever. Do what you want! But augh don't do it that way!!!!

She doesn't know much about the Personae besides the general overview-- but she got the overview from Lloyd, so she's actually more neutral on them than, say, Sakura (who got most of her Personae-opinions from Sasuke ;D) Depending on how her memories fall out, she could either become more tolerant or violently less tolerant of the idea of Personae-- it's fairly similar to the fal'cie concept, in some ways... which Lightning was super okay with for 21 years and then abruptly super smash-the-state not okay with.
